Four healthcare professionals and two teams from NHS Fife have been announced as finalists in this year’s Scottish Health Awards.
The nominees fought off stiff competition from across the country to secure their place at the award ceremony next month.
Nicola Hornsby, multisystemic therapy programme manager, has been shortlisted for the Unsung Hero Award thanks to her commitment to improving the lives of young people and their families. The Integrated Community Assessment and Support Service (ICASS) in Dunfermline and West Fife has been shortlisted in the Integrated Care for Older People Award.
The other local finalists are Gail Hogg (Therapist Award), Vincent Rowantree (Therapist Award), Fiona Jamieson and team from Victoria Hospital (Care for Long-term Illness Award) and Suzanne Heggie (Healthier Lifestyle Award).
John Wilson, NHS Fife chief executive, said: “I am delighted to congratulate our six finalists on reaching the finals. Their good work and dedication to enhancing services is an example of all our staff’s commitment to provide the best possible care for our patients.”
