Calling all aspiring film makers - a special event is being held in Leven later this month aimed at finding out more about opportunities in the local film industry.
The event, entitled ‘Opportunities in the Fife Film Industry’ has been arranged by Channel Fife TV, a web broadcast, film and television company in support of ‘Think Innovation Week’, organised by Fife Cultural Trust and the Think Innovation partners.
Those attending the evening event, being held at Leven’s Regent Cinema, will get the chance to view presentations and screenings on the film industry, as well as take part in a question and answer session where the audience can find out more about film opportunities in and around the Kingdom.
So far, the line up includesGraeme Campbell from ‘Channel Fife’, Lawrie Brewster from ‘Hex Media’, Colin McQuillen who is from the ‘Fife Film Crew’, Nigel Honey at ‘NGH Avid Editing’ and Lee Richardson from ‘Lee Richardson Videography’.
And as the event is taking place at the Regent, there will also be networking opportunities and a behind the scenes tour of the historic building itself.
Graeme Campbell from Channel Fife TV commented: “There are events going on all over Fife for ‘Think Innovation Week’ and I thought this might be good for people who want to volunteer or get involved in the Fife film industry but don’t know much about it.
“The film industry here is relatively small, but it pushes above its weight when it comes to what is being produced here and people will be surprised at its ambitions.”
‘Opportunities in the Fife Film Industry’ takes place on October 22 at the Regent Cinema between 7.00 - 9.30p.m.
Tickets are priced at £4, to book please phone Channel Fife TV on 01592 223889 or email enquire@channel‐fife.tv.
