A Balmalcolm man accused of revenge porn has admitted sending a video of his victim having sex to her sister on Christmas Day - but denied he had coerced her into having sex with the man and ordering her to film it.

Clive Weatherhogg is standing trial at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of coercing the woman into having sex with a man he found over the internet, making them film their liaisons then sending the videos to the woman’s family over Christmas 2014.

The trial had heard how the alleged victim, her father, sisters and granddaughter were about to sit down to dinner on Christmas day 2014 when one of the victim’s sisters received a text from Weatherhogg.

It contained a video of her having sex with Edward Amibo - who claims Weatherhogg set up a string of hotel sex liaisons with him and the woman.

He earlier claimed Weatherhogg had made demands for him to buy a “male chastity device” for Weatherhogg and asking to sit tied to a chair in the room while they had sex.

But Weatherhogg, giving evidence in his own defence, yesterday (Tuesday) refuted any suggestion he had been the “driving force” behind the rendezvous.

Weatherhogg told the court he had met Mr Amobi twice and that the woman: “wanted us all to be friends. I never asked to be in the room when they had sex. She was pulling the strings.”

Speaking about the videos sent to the alleged victim’s sister, he said: “On Christmas Day I knew she’d be with her family.

“I sent the video. I regret it. I shouldn’t have done it.”

Earlier Mr Amobi made string of allegations, including that Weatherhogg wanted the pair to video call him during one of their romps and that when Mr Amobi turned down the suggestion of a threesome he asked for a video of a sex session.

The alleged victim said Weatherhogg even specified positions for them to have sex in “like mechanical dolls”.

Mr Amobi said that during one of the liaisons Weatherhogg had gone as far as to escort the pair to a hotel room and undress the woman before leaving them to have sex while he sat in the bar downstairs.

He added that he had later discovered a text on his wife’s phone from “Clive Cuckold” informing Mr Amobi’s wife of his romps with the woman.

In her evidence the woman said she felt “blackmailed” by Weatherhogg into having sex with Mr Amobi. She added that Weatherhogg booked hotels for the pair and demanded photographs and videos as proof.

The father of the victim, who cannot be named to protect his daughter’s identity, told the court the mood at the dinner was already “subdued” as it was the family’s first Christmas since the loss of his wife.

He said:”We were just about to sit down for our meal when one of my daughters got a text with the video. She was very upset, but they managed to keep what it was about from the children.

“Some people didn’t eat any Christmas dinner after that.”

Weatherhogg, 42, of Balmalcolm, by Cupar, pleaded not guilty on indictment to three charges under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act, one under the Communications Act and one of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.

The coercion is said to have taken place between September 10, 2013 and September 17, 2014 at addresses in Kent and Fife.

The trial, before Sheriff George Way and a jury of nine men and six women, continues.
