The last event in Cambo Estate’s first Mad Hatter, Grey Matter Winter Series is next weekend when it will be grey matter that comes under the spotlight.

Professor Ian Deary and Dr Robin Morton, from the Centre for Cognitive Ageing & Cognitive Epidemiology, Edinburgh University, will provide an afternoon of fascinating insight into the ‘Living Brain’.

The programme includes a short film – ‘The Living Brain’ – which tells the inspiring story of William and Jean and their involvement in two unique studies of the ageing brain in Edinburgh.

The film will be followed by a discussion about what the brain means to us, different kinds of intelligence, which change differently with age, and what the implications of this are for all of us. And following the presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to test their own brains and interact with virtual and 3D printed brains.

‘The Living Brain’ is on March 14 at 2 pm. Tickets, which must be pre-booked, and are available by calling 01333 450054 or emailing cambo@camboestate.com
