Having a loving home and family is something we often take for granted, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have these.

Fostering can transform young people’s lives by providing security and stability.

Councillor Bryan Poole, spokesma for education, children, young people and families, said: “If you could make a positive difference to a child’s life, I would encourage you to come along to one of our information sessions. We can guide and support you and introduce you to some of our current foster carers who can share their experiences and give you a real insight into what is involved.

“There are lots of people in Fife who would make great foster carers and many children who would really benefit from being part of a loving family. We have couples whose children have grown up, young families and single people of all ages. As long as the main carer does not work full time, you have a spare bedroom available and a genuine desire to help children then get in touch with the team.”
