An art-loving Kirkcaldy girl has won a competition that has seen her design put on display across Edinburgh.
Taylor Holland (12) entered the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert poster competition after seeing an advert for it and knew she could put her art skills to good use.
Taylor’s winning design of a vibrant fireworks display over Edinburgh Castle, watched by a large crowd, caught the judges’ eye.
Along with her family, she was invited over to the Virgin money lounge in Edinburgh to the launch party where the three winners were revealed.
The chosen designs were then unveiled at the special opening event before the gathered entrants, their families and the judges from radio station Forth One.
As well as seeing her winning poster hung up throughout the capital in August, it will also be on display in a special exhibition with the other winners and shortlisted entries at the Virgin Money Lounge.
On finding out that she was one of the winners in the competition, Taylor said: “I’m really happy to have won.
“The whole experience has been great.”
Taylor is no stranger to winning prizes for her fantastic artwork as she previously won a Christmas Card Competition held by Sainsbury’s which was sent out by local MSP David Torrance last December.
Nicola Holland, Taylor’s mum, said: “She’s quite an arty girl and she really enjoys it.”
“It is all that she wants to do, so this competition was the perfect thing for her.”
