Beatnic Prestige

Formed in August 2006, this Dunfermline-based four-piece mod/punk inspired band released its first four-track EP in January 2009.

This prompted a 20-date UK wide tour and an invitation by Vic Galloway to record a live 4 track session for the BBC which was aired on February 12.

In May that year the band released its debut single ‘Good to Go’ with several sell-out shows in the town.

Beatnic Prestige then went on to support Dundee band The View and perform at events and festivals around Scotland, including Wickerman.

In March 2010 they supported The Skids at a memorable gig in Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre, before calling it quits for more than two years.

However, they reformed in 2012 and have since been concentrating on building up their following once more, with live performances around Fife and further afield.

The band members are: Jim McNab - vocals and guitar, Lee Christie - bass guitar, Allan Mills - guitar, Billy Underwood - drums.
