Our Smallest Adventures are a Kirkcaldy-based, six-piece instrumental/post-rock band.
Initially formed in 2008, the band as it is today began to take shape in 2011 and has been evolving and growing musically ever since.
Originally formed as an excuse for two friends to jam, the band eventually grew in numbers, expanding their line-up to include cello and eventually violin, playing their first gig in January of 2012.
In the summer of 2012, the band recorded their debut EP at S9Fifty studios in Glenrothes as part of the inaugural Fife Demo Project – this EP is now available for free download from their bandcamp page.
After recording this, the band have gone on to play a series of gigs around Scotland, including Glasgow’s Barrowland 2 and Nice and Sleazy venues, as well as being personally selected to support Mexican post-rock band The Polar Dream in summer 2013.
They’ve also bagged a slot at Doune the Rabbit Hole festival alongside some of Scotland’s most critically acclaimed artists, so opportunities are definitely coming their way.
The band will begin recording for their debut album in the months to come.
