It’s not every day that you come across a horse in North Street, but last week Papageno stopped by a Glenrothes estate agent to help promote a special fundraising event.

The team at Slater Hogg and Howison are joining forces with colleagues in the Kirkcaldy branch to host a charity race night in October.

Papageno, whose owner Jacqui McAdam is area sales manager for the firm, was more than willing to pose for a picture or two with staff on Friday to raise awareness of the event, which is being held in aid of our Maggie’s Centre.

The cancer care centre in the grounds of the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy provides support for those living with cancer, their families and their friends.

Jacqui said: “The company is marking 40 years in business this year and wanted to give something back to the communities.

“So the 25 branches have chosen local charities to fundraise for and raise some fantastic amounts of money. The Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy branches decided to join forces and organise a race night.

“The chosen charity was Maggie’s Fife because there are staff whose families have been touched by cancer and we wanted to support a local charity.”

Charity night for Maggie’s Fife

The charity race night run by the Slater Hogg and Howison team in aid of Maggie’s Fife will take place at Society in Charlotte Street, Kirkcaldy on Saturday, October 10 from 7pm to 11pm.
Everyone is invited to come along and support the cause with tickets priced £10.
There will be the race night, a raffle and a buffet.
Tickets are available from both the Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy branches of Slater Hogg and Howison.
Jacqui added: “We’d like to thank Barr Printers in Glenrothes who are kindly printing our tickets for the event.”
