Leven’s Letham Glen has received its prestigious Green Flag, following the announcement of the award by Beautiful Scotland.

To add to its success, the venue has also just been awarded three stars by VisitScotland for the first time.

Richard Pinn, VisitScotland regional director for Fife, said: “VisitScotland is delighted to be awarding Letham Glen three stars, highlighting the great facilities available. Letham Glen is a well-loved park used for generations by the residents of Leven. We hope the award will help attract visitors from outside the town to use the park.”

Councillor Tom Adams, chair of Levenmouth area committee, said it was a wonderful achievement, adding: “I want to thank and congratulate everyone involved in making this happen, from the parks staff to the local communities for all their hard work.”

The Green Flag award recongises parks and green spaces which are, among other criteria, welcoming, clean, safe, and well maintained.

John Falconer, Levenmouth area parks team leader, said: “This award recognises the outstanding green space we have in Leven and highlights our commitment to investing in our parks and creating facilities that are well used by local communities and visitors alike.”
