Children at Tanshall Primary School in Glenrothes have just been awarded their second eco-friendly green flag award.
The prestigious accolade was the result of a lot of hard work put in over a number of months by pupils and staff at the school.
Roz Esslemont, a teacher and eco- coordinator at the school is clearly delighted by the latest achievement.
She told the Gazette: “It took two years of effort for the school to achieve this latest award and we’re all very pleased to be recognised in this way.
“The school children were taught about the importance of reducing waste, recycling rubbish and helping to make the community and environment better for everyone.
“We also had a programme to improve the school grounds and these efforts all helped the school to achieve this second green flag award, it’s fantastic for the school.”
