Hamish the town cat may have got all the headlines but he was not the only bit of wildlife on the streets of St Andrews.

As locals and students well know, a couple of ducks waddling along the busy main thoroughfares, into shops and making themselves at home in university grounds are a common sight.

Now a pair and their offspring who live in St Mary’s Quad - where bowls of water are put for them - have been captured in a short film, with the question raised over how many ducklings there are.
