An Anstruther-based playgroup and nursery has offered its thanks to a local business after a generous donation.
East Neuk Playgroup and Nursery received a contribution of £1200 from The Bank Restaurant in the village, which has enabled it to buy a host of new resources for the children, such as an iPad mini, literary resources and physical equipment.
The local eatery held a Christmas Fair last December, with all of the proceeds going to the local childcare centre.
Fiona Peat, deputy manager, said: “We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and effort that went into running the event, which was a great success.
“Our playgroup and nursery is a charity which relies greatly on fundraising, so donations like this really do make the world of difference.
“These new resources have extended learning experiences for the children, so a great big thank you to the Bank Restaurant and all concerned.” Our picture above (by George McLuskie) shows the grateful staff and youngsters.
