Lucky Fife Free Press reader Gwendoline Tracey said she “felt like a princess” after winning a makeover from three of Kirkcaldy’s most stylish businesses.

Specsavers on the High Street, renowned hair salon Migele Experience and Bliss Beauty put together the ultimate pampering package for Mother’s Day – and mother of four Gwendoline was selected as the winner from hundreds of entrants to the Press competition.

She was treated to designer glasses, a complimentary cut and colour, as well as a luxurious nail treatment session to complete her new look.

“I never win anything, so I was amazed when I got the call to say I’d been chosen,” said Gwendoline, who lives in Milton of Balgonie.

“It really did make me feel like a princess being looked after so well. I had a fab experience and it was lovely feeling so glamorous.”

Gwendoline’s two daughters Keegan (10) and Finley (8), as well as her two foster children, were so impressed with her new look she has already booked in to visit the local style specialists again.

“They all thought I looked great and were of full of compliments, so I’ll be going back to all the stores involved again to make sure I keep up appearances.

“I have to say a big thank you to Kathryn at Specsavers, Rachael at Dom Migele and Gemma at Bliss for all their time as it was gratefully appreciated.”

Kathryn Thompson, director of Specsavers Kirkcaldy, said: “It was lovely for ourselves, Dom Migele and Bliss to be able to treat such a deserving mother to a fabulous new look.

“A simple change like a new pair of glasses, a bit of pampering and a new hairstyle can give you a real confidence boost, and we’re glad Gwendoline enjoyed her makeover.’
