OPEN water swimming will be one of the new activities on offer to visitors at a Come and Try Day on Kinghorn Loch next weekend.
The event is being organised by the Kinghorn Loch Users Group which includes representatives from the various groups which use the loch, including the village’s sailing and canoe clubs.
The event, which is open to anyone interested in trying out a new hobby or who wants to see what the beauty spot is used for, will take place next Saturday (May 11), from 1.00-4.00 p.m.
Among the various activities on offer will be canoeing and sailing, where visitors can come along and try the water sports under the guidance of experts from the clubs.
For the first time, there will also be demonstrations and the opportunity to try out open water swimming, a growing hobby around Fife. Please bring a change of clothes.
For those not keen on getting their feet wet, there will be the offer of a spot of birdwatching among the loch’s varied habitat, including resident swans and geese, or they can simply wander around and enjoy some nature watching in the beautiful spot.
There will be refreshments on offer, as well as a fundraising tombola. For more information call (01592) 891330.
