HAVE you seen Austin, the charismatic Crossgate cat?
The popular puss has done a disappearing act — and his owners believe he may have been taken in by a well-intentioned person who thinks he’s a stray.
The 10-year-old moggy is a familiar sight in the centre of Cupar and often makes himself at home in local shops and offices.
But he hasn’t been seen for around three weeks now and fans of the friendly feline are missing him.
“Austin is a real character and is well-known for his adventures,” said his owner.
“However he’s been away for a while now and we’re beginning to get concerned that someone may have taken him in during the cold weather or that he may have accidentally got locked in a shed or outhouse.
“Because he’s often seen hanging around the street some people think he’s a stray, but he’s not and in fact he wears a collar on which there’s a tag asking people not to feed him.”
Anyone knows the whereabouts of Austin is asked to phone the number on the tag.
