New job for area councillor Rodger
Cllr Andrew Rodger
LEVENMOUTH councillor Andrew Rodger has been appointed as the chair of the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership.
The partnership is made up of representatives from the NHS and Fife Council and has historically co-ordinated and developed joint working to deliver health services.
Cllr Rodger said: “I am very pleased to be taking up the position of chair at this crucial time for health and social care services.
“Changes in our society and population demographics mean that the way services are delivered will have to change significantly, but we need to make sure we get it right.
“The Scottish Government’s health and social care integration agenda means the existing partnership structure and arrangements will change and a new health and social care partnership body will be formed.
“By building on its track record of joint working, the partnership is in a strong position to faces the challenges ahead.”
The partnership is now considering a response that Fife Council and NHS Fife are preparing to the Scottish Government’s consultation on integrating health and social care services.
