A series of free drop-in workshops begins soon aimed at making Christmas decorations for historic Falkland Palace.

The workshops are being held in Falkland Town Hall and include making willow lanterns, wreaths and floral displays using garden greenery and recycled materials.

The idea is to transform the palace into ‘an enchanted forest’ in time for the festive season.

All are welcome and no previous skills are needed. All materials will be provided and a discount for the palace’s Christmas weekend is available after attending a certain number of workshop hours.

The first workshop takes place on September 29 from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.

They will continue until December 7.

Event organiser Aisha Al-Sadie said: “Christmas at Falkland Palace this year is going to

be spectacular, and you can be a part of it!

“Come along to the Town Hall and learn new skills while making decorations for the Palace. Enjoy them in situ at our Christmas weekend.”
