HYNDHEAD Out of School Club is organising a summer family fun day.
And the support facility at Barncraig Street is hoping the community can help with contributions for the event.
Staff hope to stage it on a Sunday in August, bringing the community together and offering a variety of attractions. However, a venue with suitable wheelchair access has still to be found, and the date finalised.
The Hyndhead club’s childcare provision caters for children and young people with additional needs.
Those who attended required specific equipment and resources to participate in games and activities, explained childcare practitioner Natalie Reid.
Without them, they could not have the childhood experiences others took for granted – but it could not be achieved without support.
Any local or further-afield companies who could help with donations would make a big difference and help Hyndhead OSC continue with the high level of support and care to the youngsters who regularly used the service, she added.
Anyone who can help can contact Natalie through Hyndhead School on 01592 583480.
