FOUR students turned themselves into catwalk stars ... after organising their own fashion show.
The quartet of HND fashion design and manufacturing students, rolled up their sleeves and organised every aspect of the event staged at Picante in Glenrothes last week.
They were spurred into action after Adam Smith College said there was going to be no fashion show this year.
Kat Valentine, Fiona McLennan, Amber Barclay and Miranda Williamson planned last Thursday’s fundraiser in aid of charity, Sweat Free, to ensure their hard work over the last year was seen.
Kat (20) told the Press: “The college pretty much said there was no money for us to have a fashion show.
‘’Normally we have an end of year show to present all the work by the students on the NQ, HNC and HND courses - but this year they said there wasn’t going to be one.
“We were all were pretty scunnered as this is our last year - so we decided we’d organise our own.”
The girls staged the event in front of friends and family.
Kat added: “It was a great night. We were all pleased it went so smoothly. Our lecturers came along to support us as well - they were all really proud of us.
“All the hard work was worth it in the end and I think we’ve learned a lot along the way.”
The fashion show and a raffle held on the night helped the students raise £251 for their chosen charity, which helps get children out of sweat shops in the far east.
