CHARITY events gather support from people of all ages – and Leven girl Katie Davidson offers the proof.

Katie, aged four, is set to don fancy dress and tackle the 5k Race for Life at Beveridge Park in Kirkcaldy this Sunday, in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The caring youngster, a pupil at Mountfleurie nursery in Leven, will be teaming up with her auntie Ray, who has inspired her through her own previous experience with Race for Life and charity half-marathons.

Mum Nicola said Katie carried a collection bucket when she was two, at an event on behalf of Rachel House, and she was looking forward to dressing up on Sunday and helping people.

Her family will be at the finishing line to cheer her on and they have set up a Facebook page all about Katie, with her link to the Race for Life donation page for people who want to contribute.
