Kirkcaldy Galleries is hosting a colourful new exhibition of work by Kirkcaldy Art Club.

Filled to the brim with paintings, pottery, glass, jewellery and textile items, the exhibition is a feast for the eyes and an opportunity to purchase original work by local artists and craftspeople.

The exhibition is open from February 22 until April 13 and admission is free.

Running alongside it as part of the exhibition is a programme of ‘artist at work’ events.

Visitors to the Galleries can drop into the exhibition and see members of the Art Club demonstrating a wide variety of techniques, from painting in oils, acrylics and watercolours, to pottery, card craft and calligraphy.

All of these sessions are free and visitors can drop-in for 10 minutes, or stay for as long as they like.

The demonstrators will be happy to answer questions and share hints and tips.

You can also find out more about what’s on offer at Kirkcaldy Art Club, from classes and talks, to special events and daytrips.

Sessions run from 12.00-3.30 p.m. on each Saturday throughout the exhibition.
