A man has appeared in court following an incident that happened in the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy on Saturday.
Simon Johnston (38), from Kirkcaldy, appeared in private at the town’s sheriff court on Monday.
He appeared on petition alleging charges of abduction, assault with intent to rape and attempt to pervert the course of justice.
Johnston made no plea or declaration.
The case was continued for further examination and Johnston was remanded in custody.
He is expected to appear in court again next week.
