a KIRKCALDY schoolgirl has enjoyed a belated Christmas gift.
Kirstin Campbell’s mum Jacqueline was the highest bidder on Maggie’s Friday, the day-long charity event held in aid of Maggie’s Centre, for a day of pampering which included a photoshoot with the Fife Free Press group’s photographer Walter Neilson and a makeover by Titan Hair in Glenrothes.
Jacqueline decided to give the special day to her daughter Kirstin as a Christmas present, and it’s a day she says she won’t forget.
“What a brilliant day it was! I had a great time and really felt like a model,” she said. “It was well worth the wait.”
Kirstin is in S5 at Kirkcaldy High School and just turned 17.
Jacqueline said: “Thanks for getting together with Titan for this. You all did such a great job of making Kirstin feel welcome and special.
“Titan hair and beauty did a fantastic job transforming Kirstin’s hair, make up and nails. Walter really made her feel at ease and has taken a wonderful collection of photographs she can keep forever.”
Tu Edwards, Maggie’s Fife fundraising coordinator, said: “I am so pleased that Kirstin’s mum Jacqueline made a bid for this fantastic prize to support Maggie’s because they had so much fun and really enjoyed the experience - a big thank you to everyone involved.
“Now Kirstin can tell everyone she has been snapped by the same photographer who has taken photos of Kate Middleton, Ewan MacGregor, Sean Connery and other stars... then again, so can I!”
