FIFE Provost and Scottish telly star Lorraine Kelly passed through Leven last week as part of their ‘Dander for Mary’ fundraising efforts.
The pair were joined by a whole group of faithful fundraisers on a four-day walk of the Fife Coastal Path to raise money for the Mary Leishman Foundation, set up in memory of Mr Leishman’s late wife.
Speaking on day two of their efforts as they tackled the path from Anstruther to Leven, Mr Leishman said: “The walk is a great team- building exercise and the amazing surroundings bring back lots of happy memories.
“This year we are walking not just to remember Mary but also to celebrate the life of a great friend and supporter of the Foundation, Henk Segerius, who sadly passed away in December of last year.
“He’ll be sadly missed by everyone especially on this walk because he and his wife Ele have been Dander stalwarts and have made an enormous contribution to the success of the Foundation.”
Over the course of the four days, the group travelled from St Andrews to South Queensferry, finishing up on Sunday.
Mr Leishman encouraged anyone who would like to get involved with the danders to join in.
