A NORTH east Fife village may be getting a name for its musical sessions ‘Letham Nights’, but residents don’t think having their street lights on all the time is quite such a bright idea.
One resident told the Fife Herald the village lights have been on constantly for the past three weeks.
“I am horrified at the cost of this. Fife Council is making budget costs across the board, yet here we are just burning money,” she said.
A spokesperon for Fife Council said the problem was a Scottish Power fault and it was felt it was better in terms of community safety to keep the lights on all the time rather than off.
The spokesperson said it was hoped the problem would be resolved soon.
