£3,000 drugs haul in Kinglassie

POLICE have recovered a quantity of cannabis plants with a total street value estimated at £3,000 from a house in Kinglassie.

A substantial amount of equipment connected with the home cultivation of cannabis was also seized.

A man was arrested and will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Kinglassie community constable, Jacqueline McMillan, said: “This operation would not have been possible without the help, support and information provided by the public.

“It is important that the public see police actively pursuing this type of criminality and prosecuting those responsible.

“We will deal robustly with illegal drugs that plague our communities.

“I would hope it also leads to increased public confidence, by providing a reassuring and visible police presence in the community.”

Anyone with information about drugs or any crimes can contact Fife Police on 0845 600 5702, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
