Another High Street shop casualty

ADMINISTRATORS have been called in to the struggling owner of fashion retailer Happit.

The news follows its Leven High Street shop being mysteriously closed since late December.

Situated next to W. H. Smith, Happit, which appears to remain fully stocked, was last open just before Christmas.

It’s understood when employees returned to work at 9am on December 27, they were told the shop wouldn’t be opening and left before 10am.

XL Business Solutions confirmed to the Mail it was appointed on January 7 as administrator of Liric Ltd, which owns the Happit brand.

A spokesperson said the company would be making no further comment.

Happit was originally taken over by Ellie Louise in 2008 and that company was then taken over by Liric Ltd around May last year.

At the time, five people were employed in the Leven shop.
