Following concerns about Fife Council’s commitment to the Levenmouth rail campaign, the group has received a letter from Council leader David Ross “reiterating the Council’s support for the project” and confirming he had written to the Transport Minister.
Discussions are now being held regarding funding of the update of the feasibility study.
The LMRC conference sub-group met last week, with representation from councillors and MSPs, and it is hoped that a conference can be arranged in the second half of October to highlight the case for the rail-link, with key stakeholders to be invited.
The group has also now adopted a constitution.
The next meeting of LMRC takes place tonight (Wednesday) from 6.30p.m. at the Fife Renewables Innovation Centre. Anyone interested is welcome along to discuss next steps.
