A hairdresser with nearly two decades of experience is celebrating after opening her very own salon in Leven.
Cheryl Stuart started her career at the tender age of 16, and now 19 years later she has just opened Cheryl Stuart Hairdressing on Leven’s Manse Place.
Cheryl said: “I have worked in salons in Kirkcaldy and Levenmouth before becoming self employed but after entering the world of motherhood I took a couple of years out from snipping hair and enjoyed just focusing on my daughter Lilly.
“After some time though I started to miss the glamour and fun hairdressing brings and after much discussions with my husband Allan we came to the huge and scary decision that I should open up my own salon!”
The salon has undergone a complete refurbishment, and although she’ll only be focussing on hair in the beginning, Cheryl has plans to introduce beauty and nail treatments too.
“A lot of blood, sweat, tears and lots of paint later I really do feel I have little gem of a shop that I absolutely love and hope people can come in and feel relaxed and welcome and want to continue to re visit!”
An open day will be held at the salon this Saturday from 11.00 a.m. onwards.
