Levenmouth’s churches displayed a seasonal show of unity on Good Friday for the annual Walk of Witness.

Parish, Baptist and Episcopal churches in the area – from the group (LCT) Levenmouth Churches Together – staged a walk from Buckhaven to Leven to symbolise Jesus’ walk through the crowds to Calvary and to illustrate the true meaning of Easter.

Volunteers (pictured) carried a wooden cross as the procession travelled from Buckhaven Baptist Church, via Wellesley Parish Church, to Leven High Street, pausing for a short act of worship, and then on to Leven Baptist Church for a service.

Parishioners joined them along the route, while Wellesley minister the Rev Gillian Paterson reckoned the strength of the message conveyed by LCT was growing.

“LCT has really come into its own through the food bank and it’s had a spin-off on a lot of other things,” she said.
