Communities unite in Remembrance

The fallen are remembered in Methil.

The fallen are remembered in Methil.

COMMUNITIES from across Levenmouth and the East Neuk gathered respectufully on Remembrance Sunday to honour soldiers and military personnel who made the ultimate scrifice for their country.

Many people turned out to pay homage at numerous wreath-laying ceremonies across the area.

In Methil, a traditional parade preceded the service at Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev Gillian Paterson, followed by morning worship at Wellesley Parish Church. The ceremony featured uniformed organisations and representatives of various groups, with members of the public.

Last week, Buckhaven High School’s Remembrance committee gave a presentation to pupils, outlining what the event commemorated, while the school held its annual service, below, on Friday.
