A full weekend in September is devoted to artistic displays, exhibitions and music for all ages across St Monans.
The St Monans Community Arts Festival takes place from September 12-14 at various venues in the village.
It’s a celebration of creative activity for everyone, with a theme of ‘St Monans 100 years ago’.
Local artists will be staging ‘open house’ displays for part of the weekend at their homes or studios, including Barbara Rowell, David Kirk, Ann Watson, Stephanie Miller, Yulia Allan and Alan Kilpatrick.
Venues for the diverse assortment of events include the Mayview Hotel, the Parish Church Hall/Festival Office, the Town hall, St Monans Primary School, the old Salvatin Army Hall and the Parish Church.
The festivities begin on Friday, September 12 with a presentation based on local history, directed by primary school head teacher Patricia Shafren, and a wine tasting session.
The following two days include camera and visual arts exhibitions, various talks and arts workshps, poetry sessions, plus jazz, swing and blues, a concert by St Monans Community Choir, a look at St Monans in bygone times, an d a lot more.
A range of snacks and refreshments will also be available at the Festival Cafe.
