Crufts first for Roy’s retriever

A STRATHMIGLO breeder has taken a first prize at the world’s biggest dog show with his three-year-old retriever.

Roy Douglas travelled to Crufts, at the National Exhibition Centre at Birmingham, with flat-coated Jura.

Competing against about 20 other entrants, Jura took top spot in the post graduate class on Saturday.

Roy has been competing at the famous show for eight years and it was the  second time that Jura had taken a first at Crufts.

Roy said this week: “It was a great day and you always enjoy it for the experience. It’s also good to meet so many  people.”
