ADVENTURER Mark Beaumont, who grew up in Newburgh, is to receive an honorary degree from the University of Dundee.

Mark (29), is ‘The Man Who Cycled The World’ as well as the Americas, and who rowed to the North Pole.

He is one of 11 leading figures who will be honoured by the university at its graduation ceremonies to be held from June 19-21.
