Drugs found during raid

A VISIT by police to a house in Methil resulted in a drugs find.

DRUGS worth around £2500 have been found following a police search on a house in Methil.

A 54-year-old woman is being reported to the Procurator Fiscal following the raid on October 18, which followed another in Burntisland a couple of weeks before.

Police say electricity meters in the house had been tampered with so that the amount of electricity being used could not be measured.

Sergeant Colin Falconer, from the Safer Neighbourhood team, said: “This is an incredibly dangerous thing to do and puts that house, and the surrounding properties, at risk of catching fire.

“If anyone has any information about drug use in the community, or suspect that a property is being used to cultivate drugs, please contact the police on 0845 600 5702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
