Electorial turnouts are starting to come in from across the Scottish regions.

Electorial turnouts are starting to come in from across the Scottish regions.

And in the main voters appear to have increased in numbers since 2009.

Across Scotland there was a 31 per cent turn out in Aberdeen, whilst the Highlands saw 36.3 per cent.

In Edinburgh the regional turnout was Edinburgh South 45 per cent, East 39.6, North and Leith 41.8, South West 40.7 and West 41.7 an overall figure of 41.66.

In the Borders 35.9 per cent of the electorate voted,South Lanarkshire saw 30.1, whilst West Dunbartonshire’s figure was 29.9.
