Former St Andrews student and serial entrepreneur, Luke Heron, is preparing for a major expansion of his hit app ByPost this summer.

And the company is on course to raise £300K to fund the expansion by announcing investment opportunities through an innovative online crowd funding model.

ByPost is now inviting would-be ‘dragons’ to invest from as little as £10 through CrowdCube.com, bringing an exciting opportunity to thousands of potential investors.

The major roll out of ByPost, which allows customers to send a postcard from their mobile device from anywhere in the world, will include the introduction of further remote posting services for consumers and businesses.

Luke, who launched ByPost in summer 2011, is confident the expansion will reap rewards for his company and its investors. Having proven a hit with the iPhone audience, ByPost is being developed for Android and Blackberry in time for holiday season.

The device allows unique, personal postcards to be created and sent from across the globe for as little as 99p, just as a first class stamp for UK post alone has risen to 60p.

In addition, ByPost will introduce remote parcel delivery and posting services for consumers and businesses, bringing a faster, more efficient model for post into the modern age.
