Fancy a dip and a nip on Boxing Day?

Boxing Day Dip

Boxing Day Dip

ARE you willing to take a dip to help others?

The leading children’s and young people’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is calling for local people to brave the elements and sign up for a sponsored Boxing Day Dip on Leven Beach to raise money for children and young people with cancer.

The fun-filled plunge takes place at 1pm on December 26 and all participants will be given a free CLIC Sargent tee-shirt and nip of whisky after their dip.

Fancy dress is optional!

Participants are asked to sign up now for free and aim to raise £100 sponsorship.

“I’m sure there are lots of locals who will join in the fun and help us raise much-needed funds to make a difference to the lives of children and young people with cancer,” said Anne Hughes, area fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent.

“Whether you’ll be braving the dip yourself, or coming to support a ‘dip and nipper’ we would love to see you there!”

CLIC Sargent provides clinical, practical and emotional support for children and young people with cancer, and their families, from the point of diagnosis. All proceeds from the dip will help CLIC Sargent provide vital services, including nurses and care professionals in hospital, grants to help families meet extra costs and free ‘Home from Home’ accommodation close to the main children’s cancer centres.

•For more information about the event or to request a registration pack call 0141 572 5700 or email anne.hughes@clicsargent.org.uk.
