Pupils from Largoward Primary School recently visited Tesco in Cupar as part of the ‘Farm to Fork’ programme, designed to teach pupils where their food comes from. The children tasted different foods, and learned about the origins of various foods, such as fish, cheese, fruit and vegetables, and bakery produce. They also enjoyed a hunt for some grocery items, before visiting the chillers and freezers and enjoying some healthy snacks. Tesco is offering similar tours to other primary schools in the area. Visits can be arranged by contacting Elaine Brailsford at the store.
