Fife Diet’s truck-load of ideas

The unusual smoothie bike

The unusual smoothie bike

FIFE Diet’s Seed Truck is weaving its way across Scotland and will be visiting Craigtoun Country Park, near St Andrews, on August 11.

The initiative follows an invitation to the group from the recently formed Friends of Craigtoun.

The Seed Truck is a brand new programme featuring the very best workshops and practical ideas to help people grow their own food and is aimed at community groups, schools, and start-up growing projects.

The truck will be at Craigtoun Park from noon until 4pm and smoothies will be made using the new smoothie bike, so why not go along and sample one of the tasty fruit offerings.

A spokeswoman for the Friends said:”We hope people will make a day of it at Craigtoun Country Park. The café is open, the train is running, and bouncy castles and putting will be available, weather permitting.
“The Friends’ office will be open for the afternoon so visitors can call in for a chat and find out what we are planning for the future.”
