The Queen’s Baton Relay hits central Fife on Thursday - and huge crowds are expected to cheer it on from Aberdour and up the coast.
The Fife Free Press team will be out and about all day following its progress on land and sea!
We will be on the boat which follows the RNLI as it sails from Kinghorn into Kirkcaldy with the Commonwealth Games baton, and our team will also be with it every step of the way up to its final destination in St Andrews in the early evening.
We will be tweeting the event live @FFP - look out for the hashtag #batonrelay2014 - as well as individual reporters’ accounts including @ffpdawn who is sailing up the Forth, @loricommunity @standrewscit @fifeherald @ffpdebbie @ffpfiona @ffpgordon and @fifefreepressed - and shooting brief video reports which you will be able to see online at www.fifetoday.co.uk
And once the day is done we’ll start work on a fantastic 12-page souvenir supplement featuring many, many pictures from the event.
It will be available in next week’s Fife Free Press, East Fife Mail, Glenrothes Gazette, Fife Herald and St Andrews Citizen.
