A FORMER Kirkcaldy woman became a multimillionaire at the weekend after scooping the EuroMillions jackpot.
Gillian Bayford, who was born in the town, and her husband Adrian won £148,656,000 – the second biggest win ever in the UK.
The couple who live in Haverhill, Suffolk, have a daughter, Aimee, aged six and a four-year-old son, Cameron.
They won the 14-rollover jackpot in Friday’s EuroMillions draw.
The couple now plan to share their good fortune with family and friends.
“The win is not just for us, it is for us to share and everyone’s life is going to be so much more enjoyable and stress-free,” said Mrs Bayford (40).
“I think if you are a selfish person, it is a lot of money. But if you are willing to share it around and give it to people and let them have the quality of life you are having as well, it is more enjoyable.”
She added that they now plan to support children’s charities.
