Gala days in Leslie, and in Glenrothes

LESLIE hosts its big community day of the year on Saturday.

The annual Children’s Gala will begin with a parade from the Greenside at 12 noon.

It will be followed by a range of actiivities for young and old alike in the town.

On Thursday, it will be gala day in Collydean, where the Area Neighbourhood Centre in Torphins Avenue hosts a re-arranged event, after the original date had to be postponed because of the recent spell of wet weather.

Meanwhile, organisers of this year’s Glenrothes Gala are appealing for volunteers to help out at the’s event, which will be held at Warout Playing Fields on September 1.

On Sunday, the town’s Exit Community Centre, in Pitteuchar, held a family fun day.

But ‘Bark In The Park’, organised by Thornton-based Second Chance Kennels, had to be postponed and will now take place on September 9.
