Tumong Edwards from Maggie's Fife and Shona Hutchison promote the Gillian Parsons Memorial Golf Day 2012

NOW in its seventh year, the Gillian Parsons Memorial Golf Day has raised tens of thousands of pounds in aid of Maggie’s Fife.

And there are still a few team places remaining for this year’s event, which takes place at Kirkcaldy Golf Club on Sunday, August 26.

Registration is just £150 for a team of four, which includes a bacon roll and a coffee before the round of golf and a two course meal after. There are also holes available to sponsor for £100 each.

Shona Hutchison, event organiser, said: “This is a great event and a guaranteed fantastic day out with friends, colleagues or clients while supporting Maggie’s.

“I hope people and businesses will help fill these last few team spaces, which are on a first come, first served basis.”

Tu Edwards community fundraiser Maggie’s Fife and Forth Valley, said: “Everyone who comes through the door at Maggie’s Fife benefits hugely from the support received from this annual event.

“Maggie’s Fife receives over 6000 visits in a year and the regular funds received from the golf day allow us to support anyone affected by cancer from across the whole Fife area from stress management and nutrition classes to one-to-one sessions.
