A 20-year-old guitarist whose music belies his tender years, is set to perform at Glenfarg Folk Club just days before the release if his third album.
With a relaxed and confident manner, vocal style and mastery of his instrument, Sunjay walks onto a stage and addresses the audience as though he is sitting down to play music with close friends; a completely natural approach for a young man who picked up the guitar when he was just four years old and hasn’t put it down since.
Drawing from a rich, musical and cultural background it is hardly surprising that Sunjay has quickly become recognised as one of the UK’s rising stars on the folk and acoustic circuit.
Winner of the Wath Festival Young Performers Award and Nominated for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, Sunjay has caught the eyes and ears of many venues and festivals across the country.
With two albums already to his name, Sunjay has just recorded his third release (‘Sunjay’ due for release on September 29) and will perform at the Glenfarg Hotel on Monday, September 15.
Meanwhile, om Monday, September 8, guitarist and singer-songwriter Dave Gibb will be performing for the Glenfarg Folk Club at the Glenfarg Hotel. Doors open 7.30pm, music starts 8.00pm.
