A unique new weekend-long spiritual festival in Levenmouth has culminated with great pride in The Lions Roar.
That was the title of a three-night tent mission at Blacketyside Fruit Farm, near Leven, for people who wanted to examine their faith more closely and seek out the messages from the Gospel.
A line-up of guest speakers told the gathering, in a specially-acquired marquee, about their own experiences and what they felt they had achvieved by following their Lord.
Around 750 people attended in total over the three evenings under canvas, and farm boss Robert Todd was extremely pleased with the response – with another mission due this Saturday.
“The speakers were excellent in telling us about the awesomeness of what the Lord has done for them and their walk with the Lord,” he said.
The guests were Andy Hall, an evangelist from Troon, Glasgow MSP John Mason, and ex-professional footballer Brian Irvine.
On Saturday, the next mission, ‘Awakening Scotland’, features Angus Buchan, an evangelist and South African farmer of Scottish origin.
Mr Todd said he and his colleagues felt the Lord had given them a task with the first mission.
They had seen it through, he added, and were looking forward to the next one.
