An important milestone for the Methil area took place when the congregations of Innerleven East and Methil were united together to form Wellesley Parish Church.

The two former parishes have been joined together and the minister, the Rev Gillian Paterson, will serve the united charge.

The service was held in the former Methil Parish Church building, which is the chosen place of worship, and it was conducted by the Rev Wilma Cairns, Moderator of Kirkcaldy Presbytery.

The Rev Robin McAlpine from Bennochy Church in Kirkcaldy preached the sermon and the Presbytery clerk, the Rev Rosemary Frew, provided a history of the journey of the two congregations to this point.
