GAMA's family affair for their new show!

GLENROTHES Amateur Musical Association has long been noted for staging family-friendly shows.

But when it comes to the cast for their latest production, it’s a real case of the ‘generation game’.

Two families will have three generations each helping out on ‘Fiddler On The Roof’.

Former GAMA president, Fiona Butchart, will be joined on stage by her daughter Ashleigh, who plays Sphrintze, while her mother, Anne Masson, will take on her regular role of Wardrobe Mistress, behind the scenes.

Stalwart, Gerry Duffy, who plays the Rabbi, can be very proud to share the stage this year with his daughter and granddaughter.

Claire Mackinlay plays Tevye’s eldest daughter, Tzeitel while the youngest, Bielke, is played by Claire’s daughter, Eilidh.

GAMA’s Bruce Davies said: “I believe it is unusual to have three generations involved and even more unusual where it’s the case for two families.”

GAMA presents ‘Fiddler On The Roof’ at Rothes Halls, from Tuesday, September 25-Saturday 29.

The production will be its 46th annual show.

The company was founded in 1966 and produced its first performance, ‘The Merry Widow’, the previous year.

Since then, it has only missed one year up until the 2011 production, ‘The Producers’.

It also has a very lively youth section.

All ‘Fiddler On The Roof’ shows start at 7.30p.m., except the Saturday matinee which begins at 2.30p.m.
