Visitors and patients to the new Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy are being asked to travel there by public transport to relieve parking congestion.
Currently 280 buses travel to the hospital on weekdays, 270 on Saturdays and 80 on Sundays, many of which offer a direct service and stop at the new bus stops situated near the main entrance.
A journey planner has been put on the NHS Fife website to help tailor journeys to individual’s needs. Visit www.nhsfife.org

Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 12:14 PMI would love to be able to use public transport to anywhere never mind for appointmentsvisits to the Victoria Hospital. There are no public transport links from my area in Glenrothes therefore any trip to the hospital, indeed any hospital, will require the use of a car. There must be a lot of folk also in the same situation therefore there has to be parking provision available. Or, can someone come up with a solution to the lack of public transport.
